Orion Oil and Shipping Ltd. (OOSL) was founded in March 2015 with an intend to support ORION’s 5 HFO based power projects. Since the inception of OOSL, it has been importing heavy furnace oil (HFO) and is also assigned to support the upcoming coal based power projects of ORION by carrying coal. To ensure a comprehensive logistical support, the company owns a Mother Vessel “MT Orion Express”, which has a capacity of 40,000 MT and six (06) lighterage vessels for importation and swift carriage of HFO and Lubricants to the plants. OOSL has a future prospect of investing in coal transportation to support the operation of upcoming coal based power projects.
