The MBA Team of STANFORD University of the USA Visits Orion Group

Stanford University of the USA is one of the world's leading teaching and research universities. Since the inception in 1891, Stanford has been dedicated to finding solutions to big challenges and to preparing students for leadership in a complex world. Some of the key figures that have attended here are Steve Jobs (Computer Scientist)former American president John F. Kennedy and Herbert Hoover, Larry Page (Computer Scientist), Mukesh Ambani (Business Guru), Reese Witherspoon (Actress) and Tiger Woods (Golfer).

 As part of their curriculum, consisting of an international trip to meet leaders in the public, private, and non-profit sectors to learn about their perspectives on key development issues Stanford University MBA Candidates is on visit to Bangladesh during March 21-29, 2015. Their focus has been to meet key leaders in the private sector of Bangladesh, the twenty (20) graduate students assisted by two faculty members came on an official visit to the corporate Office of ORION GROUP. On 23rd of March, 2015 the guests were met by the Managing Director, Mr. Salman Obaidul Karim and other key officials of Orion Group. Their discussion was focused around Orion Group’s diversification efforts and their role in the development of the infrastructure and power generation sector of Bangladesh and as well as the future focus for Orion Group.

 The Stanford University Group was lead three students: Li JinSajo (Japan), Sydney Larson (USA), Emily McAteer (USA), along with their sixteen students. A senior faculty member in organizational behavior–Richard Francisco–and a Stanford Center for Social Innovation staff member– Ms. VijiJagannathan participated in the trip as well.
