Panbo Bangla Mushroom Limited (PBML) has its mission and goal to be a state-of-the- plant.
PBML will produce standardized and uniform White Button Mushrooms (Agaricus Bisporus),
which is the most popular species of mushroom worldwide as an ideal recipe to
give excellent added value to the meat dishes.
Construction of the project is going in swing but Production of the White Button Mushrooms is still in process. The total production capacity will be of 8,800 Metric Tons of Mushrooms per year. The project will employ some of the most innovative and sophisticated technology, to control temperature, moisture levels, carbon-dioxide levels, air movement, and insects/pests in the growing room. Such use of state-of-the-art technology will ensure that mushrooms produced are of the highest quality and uniformity possible.
The Proposed Project has been designed for accommodating 6 mushroom growing rooms and its total growing surface is approximately 3180 m2. The mushroom farm is build with the unique Panbo Self Carrying Panel System. The new Panbo climate computers have been designed in cooperation with Siemens and Honeywell. The philosophy behind this cooperation is the application of worldwide knowledge on climate control to the mushroom industry.
The key advantage needed for a successful export oriented Mushroom industry in Bangladesh is significant low labour cost. Panbo’s production of Baby Button Mushroom (White Button Mushroom or Agaricous Bisporus) and the rapid growing demand has the unique opportunity to step in this very prospective global agro industry. The Project’s participation in this sector expectantly reduces rural poverty and foster sustainable economic development of the country.
