Codes of Conduct

ORION deals with business based on integrity and customer satisfaction and takes pride over the spirit in applying the highest standards of ethical practices in all the dealings, which are reflected in the business principles and values. Codes of Conduct provides general guidance on the ethical principles that all the officials would read out, understand and follow with firmness.
A single policy cannot anticipate all situations. Ethical practices and development of habits over basic honesty and good judgment are the key to awareness and ensure a standard Codes of Conduct, brief of which are mentioned below:

Fair Employment
Employment is arranged only on the basis of job requirement and followed by availability of applicant’s requisite qualifications, skills and experiences up to a suitable level.
The Management shall follow the policy of fair employment. The employees shall be recruited through written examinations as well as interviews. There will be no discrimination in employment on the ground of race, religion, gender or place of birth.

Everyone must assure the highest standard of ethical conduct and fair dealing in everything. Reputation is one of the most valuable assets and everyone is to earn it through dependability, trust, confidence and respect from her/his customers and community through devoted engagement.

Compliance with Laws, Rules & Regulations
ORION and all its members are bound by the applicable laws of the country. In addition, compliance with all the organizational rules & regulations must never be compromised. Employees are responsible for familiarizing themselves with all the applicable policies in force from time to time.

Transparency
Everyone in ORION conducts all business dealings and official communications with honesty, integrity, and complete transparency. This requires ensuring all records, reports, financial data, and communications are accurate, truthful, and unambiguous.
Furthermore, to maintain a transparent environment, all employees disclose any actual or potential situation, immediately and fully which may involve or lead to a conflict of interest, to assure a fair, transparent resolution and impartial decision-making.
At the same time, while committing to transparency, all employees recognize the need to protect confidential information. Any information not available in the public domain, including trade secrets, business plans and strategies, personnel, and financial data of the organization or its third parties, must be treated with utmost care and confidentiality to prevent unauthorized access and disclosure. This obligation continues even after separation from employment.
As a further responsibility, employees have a duty to speak up and immediately report any suspected violations of this Code, including unethical conduct, illegal acts, or questionable practices, without fear of retaliation. All reports will be handled confidentially and investigated in a fair and timely manner.

Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption
ORION has policies and practices to detect and prevent bribery, fraud, and other corrupt activities such as nepotism or facilitation payments in dealings with third parties in any financial or non-financial transactions. All activities linked to corruption that could harm the Company’s reputation, are strictly prohibited. Every employee is encouraged to protect the business reputation by maintaining compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, thereby upholding the image of the Company.
Each member undertakes that he/she shall, during employment in the Company or thereafter, never directly or through intermediaries, offer, promise, seek, or receive any personal or improper financial or other advantage from or to anyone in exchange for any action or performance, violating Company policies or guidelines, or with malicious intent. ORION exercises a zero-tolerance policy toward bribery and corruption, and enforces rules regarding gifts, hospitality, entertainment, and donations. The Company provides awareness training, requires accurate reporting through Internal Control and Compliance, and applies clear, documented disciplinary actions to ensure the enforcement of anti-bribery and anti-corruption practices.

Paperless Office along with Document Management System (DMS)
ORION successfully achieved the transformation to a “Paperless Office” across all concerns in 2023. The organization maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy on internal paper usage, except for essential communications required by external bodies and regulatory authorities. All departments are mandated to digitize and preserve documents through the centralized, secure, and multi-user Document Management System (DMS). ORION trusts that this transition not only enhances operational efficiency but also reinforces our commitment to corporate environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices.
